    The Digital Campaign Manager is a  "Digital Sales Engineer" who acts as the primary point person for the execution of all digital campaigns (more than 2 core product/ platforms and higher budget spends – will vary by Market).  This role is responsible for the coordination of all advertising campaigns which include the overseeing the fulfillment of campaign orders, actively managing multiple campaigns simultaneously, and working with clients, internal teams and vendors on implementation and execution.  Responsibilities will span Tribune Publishing’s full portfolio of Digital display, Sponsored Content, Reach, Programmatic, SEO, PPC, Social Media Advertising, and Print products.


    The Sales Engineer will work directly with Sales Reps and Digital Sales Strategists to provide clients with the most efficient and effective experience.

    • Assist Sales Reps and Digital Sales Strategists in achieving sales revenue targets (with an emphasis on driving digital revenue)
    • Interface with agencies/ clients on all aspects of campaign ideation, execution, and implementation
    • Actively oversee campaign for optimization opportunities with campaign specialist and participate in retention process



    Create and maintain a singular point of contact for all information and processes regarding campaign execution:

      • Understand campaign success indicators and ensure campaign is set up for success
      • Collaborate and coordinate with internal and external partners to execute all aspects of digital marketing and advertising programs
      • Ensure all sold products are routed to the appropriate fulfillment teams or vendors
      • Work with Ad Ops team on execution, fulfillment, and correct billing of campaigns
      • Work with Creative team (if necessary) to build creative/ ad units for campaign execution
      • Process and manage Insertion Orders utilizing Tribune Publishing tools and systems
      • Perform ROI analysis of all marketing channels (paid search, SEO, affiliates, social media, display, email, etc.) to ensure achievement of KPIs
      • Work with the Sales Team to develop and maintain holistic dashboards and data visualization from Google Analytics and other data sources and websites to support business functions
      • Facilitate tag management and pixel tracking systems and troubleshoot implementation
      • Provide campaign wrap-up report and recommendations for renewed business



    • Bachelor’s Degree or relevant work experience
    • Must have prior digital experience/ 2+ years in digital marketing preferred
    • Proficiency with a range of relevant digital marketing platforms including but not limited to DoubleClick, Facebook Business Manager, Google AdWords, Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Site Scout
    • Familiarity with digital display products, native ad platforms, and high impact executions
    • Show a high degree of self-motivation and work well within an individual and team environment
    • Must have a strong customer focus that conveys responsiveness and competence
    • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
    • Demonstrate self-direction and ability to work autonomously
    • Practical knowledge of Microsoft Office products
    • Organized, with attention to detail and the ability to multi-task
    • Desire to learn different aspects of digital advertising
